We came up with Part 2 of A Toast to Seinfeld, not because we forgot about the following episodes, but because it gave us an excuse to keep talking about Seinfeld. As if we needed another excuse. It also gives you another excuse to read Part 1 again. As if you needed another excuse. Enjoy.

Pairing: Booze and Brooks

Supposedly Mel Brooks had an affinity for Ballantine Ale, along with the occasional glass of wine. And since we here at Producers In Bars have an affinity for the occasional libation ourselves, compounded with our utter infatuation for good ol' Mel, I thought it would be fun to pair some of his classic hits with some choice drinks. Here we go...

A Toast to Seinfeld: "Here's to Those Who Wish Us Well..."

Recently, Seinfeld celebrated its 25th Anniversary and there have been all kinds of lists that have popped up. But I've yet to see a list like this one. Alcohol wasn't a huge part of the show as the group rarely even drank. But there have been some classic episodes (they're all classics, really) which alcohol played a supporting role. And much like sports fans who enjoy a cocktail while watching a game, we here at Producers in Bars enjoy a drink with our TV viewing. So raise a glass, literally, to the greatest show ever.

Not Enough Hours in the Day

Countless times, we've all heard the expression, "There aren't enough hours in the day". Most of the time it's said by parents. "I have to get the kids ready for school, then go to work, then pick up the kids from school, take them to soccer practice, pick them up from soccer practice, cook dinner, help them with their homework, put them to bed, then put myself to bed and do it all over again tomorrow. Who has time for TV? There aren't enough hours in the day."

And all that is fine and dandy...

Secondary Characters

Ok let me take a stab at this movie/tv blogging thing (hey, I'm used to doing sports). So I caught Young Frankenstein last night on the telly -- because, let's face it, when there's a Mel Brooks movie on you watch it -- and I remembered how my favorite component of the brilliant comedy was Marty Feldman's character Igor (pronounced EYE-gor -- brilliant).
