Happy Birthday Michael Keaton!

Hey there sports fans, welcome to football season. But today, September 5th, is special for another reason. Today, on Michael Keaton's birthday, we celebrate the original Batman (well, the movie original) and one of the greatest comedic actors of mine, or any generation. OK, that might be a stretch, but his movies are some classics, and some of my personal favorites. He's played everything from the President of the United States in First Daughter to a reincarnated snowman in Jack Frost. And with his latest piece of comedic genius, Birdman, coming out in October, why not celebrate him? Why not, indeed. Happy Birthday Michael Keaton!

Mr. Mom

We start with an 80s classic. After losing his job, Jack Butler becomes, as the title suggests, Mr. Mom. It's a classic story of stereotyped gender role reversal. And when Michael Keaton has to take care of children, hilarity ensues. So many great lines and clips to choose from, but there's really only one that belongs on this site.

Gung Ho

One of my all time personal favorite movies. As a kid, I quoted this movie constantly. It probably kickstarted the whole movie quoting persona. "I said 15,000 cars in a month!" Plus, how can a movie that has Norm from Cheers in it be bad? And I'll tell you another thing...there's nobody I want representing my union more than Hunt Stephenson. A movie so good, it deserves 2 clips. (Btw, the entire movie is on YouTube. So, you have that going for you...which is nice.)

Multiplicity

What's better than one Michael Keaton? How about 4 of them. And how many actors out there can act opposite himself...and not just one of himself, but 3 of his selfs. The Oscars missed the boat on this one for sure. Multiplicity conquers the age old issue of cloning. And it teaches us a very valuable lesson. The original Michael Keaton is the best.

Beetlejuice

"Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetle...." Don't say it three times or he'll appear. A classic movie in every sense of the word. The cast is stacked, there's comedy, there's drama, there's ghosts, there's medicine men shrinking heads, and...there's Winona Ryder. It's got it all. Jump in the line...OK, I believe you!!

Johnny Dangerously

I saved the best the last. Michael Keaton as gangster Johnny Kelly and his attempt to go legit. "Johnny's goin legit?!" If you haven't seen this movie, may the Lord have mercy on your soul. Once again, it deserves 2 clips. First, a public service announcement.

So there you have it. Please let us know what we missed and share your own favorite Michael Keaton moments.
